Constuction of a pool - Llandudno

The pool design was fabricated using shuttering at our facility in Nottingham then transported to Llandudno.

Once in position the pool was cast in concrete and lined with our PASLAM lining system.

The pool surround and steps were lined with our PASBEAD non-slip surface.

Paslam on Glassfibre

Many pools throughout the UK are either glassfibre structures or lined with a glassfibre membrane.
The disadvantage of this is that over a period of time glassfibre suffers from Osmosis.
This is when an aqueous solution forms within the glassfibre causing the surface to blisters.

These can be seen in the following image...

Osmosis can make the tank look aesthetically unpleasing with black spots all over it.
Eventually the blisters will become so big that they burst and expose sharp fibres which are a danger to bathers.

As a solution Poly Advisory can and have installed our unique PASLAM lining membrane to 100's of swimming pools across the UK.

The end result is a swimming pool that looks like new

Bath Spa Rooftop Outdoor Pool

Poly Advisory Services were the company responsible for providing a solution at the Bath Spa Rooftop Outdoor Pool after all the major companies throughout Europe had failed.

The problem entailed from a ceramic scumbox set on blocks using a flexible adhesive, this caused anything sealed on the inside of the pool to blister or break off, allowing water to get behind bringing off any finish applied.

Our unique PASLAM lining allowed us to reinforce the area and allow for any movement due to expansion.

Alton Towers Outdoor Pool

The new outdoor pool at Alton Towers had failed after only two years of use, the render having separated from the concrete structure.

The company responsible for its construction were bound to repair it under warranty, they approached Poly Advisory Services to re-render it using our unique PASSCREED.

Unlike traditional methods using concrete screed render which crumble if too thick or breaks/cracks in sheets, PASSCREED can be used in applications from 40mm down to 5mm thick.

With the PASSCREED render in place the pool was finished with our PASLAM lining system.

Ideal Home Exhibition

We were approached by the organisers of the Ideal Home Exhibition to create a centre piece fountain to be positioned in front of the Eco Home.

Showcasing the versatility of our PASLAM menbrane system, we were able to constuct the fountain using a wooden frame covered with our lining,
